Brownies Cadillac
From the kitchen of Cadillac Ed in Yelapa, Mexico (RIP1988)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup butter
- 5 oz semi-sweet chocolate
- 4 eggs (room temp)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup pecans
Instructions:
- VERY CAREFULLY... flash dry 1oz of the special ingredient, remove all seeds and stems etc... crush to a powder and sauté in 1/4 cup butter.. low heat... slowly!
- preheat oven to 350F
- melt in double boiler... 3/4 cup butter and 5 oz semi-sweet chocolate... **THEN COOL**
- beat until foamy **ROOM TEMP** eggs
- add **GRADUALLY** sugar and vanilla
- continue beating until creamed
- combine chocolate, sautéed mixture with eggs mixture **MANUALLY** with a few swift strokes!!
- before uniform in colour stir in flour gently
- again before uniform in colour stir in pecans gently
- bake in 9x9 pan 25 min.
